— About
A companion for the moments between a question and a pastor.
Voz of Faith is a voice-first AI prayer companion. It exists because real life rarely waits for office hours, and sometimes the conversation you need is the one no one is awake to have.
The day this app was born
It started on a single day in the same house. My wife caught herself asking out loud — "Is there a right way to pray?" — almost as a question to the room. A few moments later, our daughter said she was anxious about a college entrance test and wondered if she could find some kind of answer in the Bible.
Two real questions. Same afternoon. No pastor on call, no group to text, no quick way to sit with either one of them in faith.
It hit me that millions of people are walking through exactly this moment every day — the gap between needing a prayer and getting one. Not a Sunday-morning prayer. The 11pm one. The waiting-room one. The grief one. The "I don't even know what to ask" one.
Voz of Faith is what I built for my own family that week, and then for everyone else. It is not a replacement for a pastor, a therapist, a counselor, or your church. It is a companion for the in-between — the moments when you need to talk, and faith is who you want to talk with.
Built by

Johnathan Valencia — Founder
I'm Johnathan Valencia. Born and raised in New York. I've also lived in Florida, Costa Rica, and Puerto Rico, which is partly why Voz of Faith was bilingual from the very first line of code — Spanish was never going to be an afterthought.
I was raised Catholic and at eleven I became a Christian. That dual lens — the reverence of the tradition I came from, and the conversational faith I grew into — sits inside how this app talks. It's not loud. It doesn't preach. It's nondenominational, and it tries to do what a good friend with a Bible nearby would do: listen first, answer with care, and never weaponize Scripture.
Professionally I've spent my career in product, AI, technology, and design. Voz of Faith is what happens when those skills meet a personal moment that wouldn't leave me alone. I built it for my family, and I'm sharing it because it might be useful to yours.
How we hold the line
These aren't marketing values. They're hard rules baked into the product:
- 01
Nondenominational Christian
Voz of Faith draws on Scripture and the shared core of the Christian faith. It does not push a single tradition, denomination, or church. Catholic, Protestant, Orthodox, or somewhere in between — you're welcome here.
- 02
Scripture as comfort, not as a weapon
Verses are offered as care, never as judgment. The companion is trained to lean toward compassion, to acknowledge pain before it answers, and to never use the Bible to shame, condemn, or argue.
- 03
Warm, never preachy
If you wanted a sermon, you'd open a sermon app. Voz of Faith is conversational by design — closer to a steady friend than a pulpit.
- 04
Crisis-aware by default
If you express thoughts of self-harm, Voz of Faith pauses, speaks with care, and surfaces your local crisis lifeline — 988 in the US and Canada, regional lines across Latin America and Spain. This isn't a feature you opt into. It's the floor.
- 05
Not a replacement for professional care
Voz of Faith is a spiritual companion, not a therapist, counselor, pastor, or medical provider. If you are in crisis or need clinical support, please reach out to a qualified professional or emergency services.
- 06
Generosity built into the model
10% of every paid subscription is tithed to local churches and organizations serving the poor, the widow, and the orphan. The math is public, and we publish what we give every month.
